Ramlal Dhar passes away

Ramlal Dhar, retired GCAC teacher and famous painter passed away on 14 July 2010 late evening. He was suffering from cancer. He is survived by his wife Dr Sohini Dhar, artist and scholar. We express our deepest condolence for him and sympathy for his family.
Ramlal Dhar stayed nearly 6 years in France after completion of his studies in GCAC. He specialised in painting, making murals and portraits. His murals are still preserved in French townships. Back to India he joined GCAC as a teacher of painting. He looked after our foundation classes for long and is remembered by generations of students as their first mentor in GCAC.
